Bought this to use on my desk at work to get my phone up off the desk and make charging the phone more convenient. Works perfectly, the hinge seems to be strong and it has held an iPhone 7 in a UAG case

For additional convenience I also stuck a cable clip onto the base of the stand to hold the Lightning cable in place where it comes through the hole. The only improvement I would like to see is a rubber O-ring in the hole that the cable comes through to prevent any damage to the cable.
I’ve bought several of these phone holders as gifts, after I fell in love with the first one I had bought for my iPhone 6S. Very well made, these just work. The balance is perfect even as you adjust the angle. They accommodate my Otterbox case (barely!) but work just as well without a case. After more than a year of daily use there is no decrease in function. They are simple, in a way that is very attractive.
These holders use little rubber stick on pads to help prevent the phone from sliding off the aluminum stand. A few of these pads had come loose during the significant daily use, but I contacted the company and they sent me replacements. Let me explain. I emailed more than a year after purchase, got a reply in hours, provided my original amazon order number, and they very kindly offered to mail replacements to my home. The customer service was absolutely first class! I just now ordered two different products from them because it’s clear they stand behind their products, which are much better than I would have expected for such a reasonable price. Lamicall? Buy with confidence!
