I bought this bag mostly for dust and minor protection going from one house to another. The padding was a bit better than I expected for the price. The zipper and covering seem to be pretty durable but time will tell. It is a soft bag so sturdiness is what you'd expect. This is not a gigging bag for tossing around in a van. My
Ibanez fits nice and tight and it will avoid scratches and dust. The outer zippered pocket is a single, large opening - so I wrap capo, etc. in thin padding so they don't scuff each other in transit.
