This is a fantastic product! It uses the Smart Life app, which is extremely easy to use on its own, and it also seamlessly syncs with Alexa (echo). I started using these with my Christmas tree and various Christmas lights in my house. I first set a timer in the app so they would come on at 5pm each evening and turn off at
bedtime....never have to remember to turn the tree off again! Then I synced it with Alexa (really easy to do), and can also turn it on by saying "Alexa, turn on Christmas tree" and on it goes! I love the product so much, I bought a bunch more for other outlets in my house.

Simple set-up
Set up couldn't be any easier. Just download the Smart Life app from your app store and create an account. Plug it in and it will automatically start flashing blue. In the app tap add device ( the + symbol ). Under electrical select electrical outlet, next screen will ask if the device light is flashing or blinking which it will in a blue color on the round button on the side of the outlet. App will do the rest. Just name it and add it to a room. When switch is on it will light up red. Response from Google voice is just a few seconds or you can turn it on or off from the app. The app has options for sleep timer and even automatic on/off feature or each outlet to give the appearance of someone being home by turning on and off lamps on separate timers in different rooms.
