Best nedia streamer
If you've cut the cord and just stream this is a must have. Faster and much better than firestick. The overall picture quality is also much improved due to it's higher speed and 16gb storage. This is THE best in class for streaming.
Works great as a media station.
So I have a lot of movies and TV shows on external hard drives. I got this to use a convenient way to use kodi without needing a computer or xbox. I'm impressed with the ai upscaling. Makes great quality movies look even crisper and better. It does also work on lower quality movies and TV shows. However I will point out that it can only do so much. If you have an old TV show that is horrible quality but you have it because it's the only option available then yes the upscaler works but it won't magically be the best picture ever. It will just be a bit better than before. However 720 and 1080 totally look upscaled to 4k. It's very convenient and easy to use. I have had zero issues getting it setup.
Now have one on every TV in the house
Big fan of the Shield. We run various streaming apps through the shield (netflix, prime, etc.) and also run a media server (Kodi) to stream local stuff. It's a great device, solid and reliable. Better than the woefully underpowered "smart TV" internal hubs that TVs have. With the way that some TV makers treat update and ads, none of our TVs have access to the internet, we're quite happy with the Shield as our media sources.

If you have the cash and want to invest in the best TV box out you can’t go wrong. This thing has everything you ever want stop messing around with the cheap stuff and Cora’s over to a whole other level of watching tv you can’t go wrong
The best media streamer
The best media streamer available. Very fast and powerful considering the older hardware. It needs much more internal storage though. The AI enhanced scaling is impressive at improving 720P content adding noticeable definition and clarity.
Picture quality vastly better than Fire TV 4K
After getting up and running, the first thing I noticed was the color depth and picture quality was much better than the Fire TV 4K Stick I was using (still using on another TV). App loading is noticeably quicker and I haven't seen any lagging or buffering. I did opt to feed the Shield Pro with ethernet instead of WIFI as that was not an option with the Fire TV Stick 4K. Got this one on sale 30% off so I'm happy with the purchase. Definitely more expensive, but value for money is good. The streaming experience is better than before by a pretty wide margin.

I purchased this used Shield and couldn't be happier. There were some minor wear and tear marks on the box but in all honesty it's so worth it for the price of $167. This Shield worked just as great as the new Shields I had previously purchased.
